Chicago Children’s Museum invites kids to splash, build, climb, create, explore and discover in three vibrant floors of playful, interactive exhibits and programming spaces. Located on historic Navy Pier, the museum’s most popular experiences include Dinosaur Expedition, where kids can dig for dinosaur bones; Play It Safe, featuring authentic gear, a command station and fire truck; WaterWays, an interactive system of pulleys, pumps, locks and dams (raincoats provided!); and the Artabounds Studio, offering daily workshop that invite families to make art together. The gated Treehouse Trails and Kids Town exhibits are geared especially for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Older kids will love climbing up the museum's three-story schooner or building a skyscraper in the award-winning Skyline exhibit. Tinkering Lab, a DIY maker-space, provides the materials, space and freedom to innovate, build, test and retest with real tools and materials. Since 1982, Chicago Children’s Museum has offered play-based exhibits and programs that delight, inspire and power developing young minds. It’s a must-visit destination for families with children from infancy through early-elementary school.
