San Diego Seal Tour

Experience San Diego as it was meant to be appreciated...by land and by sea! The brand new "Hydra Terra's" provide you with the unique ability to see America's Finest City on San Diego's only amphibious sightseeing tour. This 90-minute fully-narrated journey departs from Seaport Village located on Harbor Drive at the Embarcadero. As you travel along the beautiful Big Bay by land, you will hear the stories of early sailors as well as the history of the 14-mile long working bay.

Then, you will splash down into the San Diego Bay off Shelter Island, where you begin your water-tour segment of the journey. As the SEAL travels through the north end of the Big Bay, keep your eyes peeled for a chance encounter with a California Brown Pelican, the petite Least Tern, the majestic Blue Heron, or perhaps a sea lion or two. The Big Bay provides views of Point Loma, home to the Cabrillo National Monument, Naval Air Station North Island, the Point Loma Submarine Base, and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

Schedule: Departure times vary depending on season. SEAL Tour operates year round, 7 days a week. Tour is subject to closure due to weather conditions. Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

2nd SEAL Tour Booth Location at Embarcadero stop located at the Maritime Museum next to the Star of India. (2nd seasonal booth location closed November -March)

Age Requirements: All Ages Welcome. Child Ticket: 4-12 years of age. Infant Ticket: 0-3 years

Notes: Reservations are required in advance as space is limited for this popular tour. The tour does sell out and ADVANCE securing of reservation is highly advisable. Please call the reservation desk to reserve your time and date. Guests must check in 30 minutes prior to tour time or seats may be subject to cancellation. Tour is subject to change or cancel without notice due to weather or traffic conditions. Guests are required to sign a Coast Guard manifest at the ticket depot before tour departure.
